Title 24 Residential Standards Essentials for Plans Examiners and Building Inspectors course in Fresno from 8:30-4:30. 
The course was just announced in the last few weeks via our training calendar and so far we only have a few folks registered.
 
This is targeted to plans examiners and building inspectors who are expected to understand and enforce multiple codes. Conflicting priorities, time, workforce and budget constraints impact ability to deliver energy savings. This hands-on, activity-rich class strives to provide plans examiners and building inspectors with the knowledge and skills needed to more quickly and effectively enforce the energy code for residential projects. This course is designed to help plans examiners and building inspectors understand: 1) the 2008 building energy efficiency standards for residential new construction, additions, and alterations and 2) the purpose of each of the compliance forms and related documents.

Half Day (Morning) CALGreen/Builder Energy Code Training

Where: Madera County Government Center, 200 West 4th St., Madera, CA

Highlights of California’s Green Building Standards Code, the nation's first statewide mandatory green building standard code, and the periodically updated Building Energy Efficiency Standards (T-24), which reduce California’s energy consumption, will be presented.

2010 California Green Building Standards Code 

The 2010 California Green Building Standards Code established mandatory regulations that will achieve major reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption and water usage.

Building Energy Efficiency Standards (T-24)

Builder Energy Code Training (BECT) helps the building industry and code officials keep up with changes in the energy codes. The program improves compliance with Title-24 and focuses on the most comprehensive and cost-effective ways to bring a home up to and above the CA Energy Code requirements.
